Four New Board Members, Board Chair Installed
Published January 2012ReSource is pleased to announce the appointment of Jenny Powell, Kevin Torch, Mark Luegering, and Brian Smyth to its 2012-2014 Board of Trustees.
The board chair is Brady Mick, client leader, workplace strategist and architect at BHDP Architecture and Workplace Community Chair at CoreNet Global. Mick chaired ReSource's development committee in 2011.
"I'm eager to be named to such a dynamic and impactful board and intend to make 2012 a strong year of progress," said Mick.
"Brady brings his passion for our mission, strategic thinking and team-leading ability that will allow ReSource to provide more services to non-profits who are working hard to meet growing community needs," said Molly Lohr, executive director of ReSource, adding, "Each new board member brings with them energy and talents that will help us in fulfil our mission to the community."
Jenny Powell is responsible for the brand management, advertising and marketing/communications for U.S. Bank. Powell is involved in a number of community organizations and the greater Cincinnati community, including serving on the boards of Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and CISE Inner City Schools Fund. Powell is also active in a number of other organizations including the United Way's Success Under Six effort, St. Xavier High School and the YWCA.
Kevin Torch is a Senior Transaction Manager for CBRE's Cincinnati Global Corporate Services team. Torch's team provides strategic planning, transaction execution, and ongoing portfolio optimization initiatives for a diverse set of leading corporations, with total portfolio advisory responsibility across 75 million square feet in more than 60 countries. Torch was chosen to lead Treasure Seekers, ReSource's young professionals group, in 2011 and began volunteering for ReSource in 2010, helping with the online auction.
Mark Luegering holds the title of Senior Vice President at Messer Construction, where he leads project operations and performance in Messer's Cincinnati region, while supporting executive leaders in the Dayton and Columbus regions. He serves the community in a number of board leadership roles including Kicks for Kids, Allied Construction Industries, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering Alumni Association. Mark also serves on the board of Messer Construction.
Brian Smyth works as Director of Treasury at Omnicare, Inc., where among other duties, he manages a manages a 1,000,000 square foot real estate portfolio and leads the financial modeling process for acquisitions. Smyth has a long history of assisting ReSource in a number of volunteer capacities, including serving on the development committee.
